Purdue has the first of three anticipated NLIs this morning as Aaron Wheeler, a 6’8” 200 pound wing from Connecticut has faxed in his NLI and is now officially a Boiler.
Wheeler comes to Purdue from Brewster Academy, a private boarding school in New Hampshire, but he is a New England native having grown up in Connecticut. He is a consensus 3-star recruit that is rated 204th nationally according to 247 Sports.
Wheeler comes to Purdue next season likely as a poor man’s Vincent Edwards. He can score the basketball from all over the floor, but has good size to be able to rebound as well.
