Purdue is two games away from hanging another Big Ten Championship banner in Mackey Arena, but in the way today are the Michigan Wolverines. Yesterday in the press conference A.J. Hammons mentioned that this team was hungry for another chance at Michigan after "not being ready to play" in Ann Arbor in February. Even then, Purdue led by with three minutes left before blowing it.
Well, they have no excuse to not be ready today. Rested after having Thursday off and an easy game against Illinois on Friday, the Boilers are attempting to reach just their third Big Ten Tournament championship game and first since winning it all here in Indianapolis in 2009.
