PROVIDENCE — This is probably not the best time to be welcoming one of the best teams in the country to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
That’s the task awaiting Providence College on Saturday when it hosts No. 5 Xavier at noon. The Friars have lost two in a row, with the last loss an excruciating one. A game like Wednesday’s 95-90 setback to Marquette in overtime can linger, but in this case needs to be quickly wiped away.
“Moving forward from that loss is difficult,” said PC coach Ed Cooley, “but that’s what we need to do.
