VILLANOVA – For the umpteenth time this season, the Providence College Friars left a Big East game shaking their heads in frustration.
This time the location was Villanova’s Finneran Pavilion, and it seems the group is reaching its boiling point. Yet again the Friars showed they could play with a top-tier team and yet again everything went wrong down the stretch. The well-worn script led to an 85-67 defeat that actually could’ve gone either way in the last five minutes.
Things clearly went the Wildcats way as they closed the game on a 23-6 run to bounce back from their first Big East loss at Marquette last weekend.
