AMHERST, Mass. — Austin Albrecht scored a first-period goal and Matt Murray made 31 saves to lead UMass to a 1-0 win over Providence College on Saturday night in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Albrecht scored his third goal of the season at 4:57 on assists by Niko Hildenbrand and Josh Couturier.
Hayden Hawkey made 21 saves for the Friars (20-10-4, 13-7-4 Hockey East), who were 0-for-4 on the power play. UMass is 15-17-2, 9-13-2.
