Tommy Davis brings experience, maturity to Friar blueline

PROVIDENCE – Providence College’s Tommy Davis is not your typical Division I hockey player.

The New Jersey native has journeyed quite a bit further down the road of life than his peers, and not just because he’s the oldest player on the team at 24.

In his back pocket, Davis has a history degree from Princeton University, where he played 97 games on defense. Eligible to play another year because he missed most of his freshman season with an injury, he is now a PC grad student working toward an MBA.

And Davis is a husband and a father.
