The Friars opened their 17-18 Big East schedule with a bang, notching their first true road win of the season in impressive fashion beating St. John’s 94-72 in Queens. After trading leads throughout the first half, PC put on a clinic in the second, in what was their best half of basketball of the young season.
One thing was made abundantly clear tonight: the Friars will go as far as Kyron Cartwright takes them. Cartwright was spectacular in his return from an ankle injury, putting up season highs in points (21), assists (15) and steals (4), while shooting 8-11 from the floor.
