PROVIDENCE — These are new, and trying, times for the Providence College Friars.
Losers of five of their last six games, the Friars are finding it hard to put up much of a fight as this season slips away. With just five regular-season games remaining, PC sits in a tie for last place in the Big East and is coming off one of its worst home losses in years.
This week offers two home games but no respite. First up is a rematch with St. John’s on Wednesday night. Saturday brings a date with No. 11 Marquette.
