Slowed by injuries, Friars look for recovery vs. Sacred Heart

PROVIDENCE — There was a shining light in an otherwise bleak trip to the Mohegan Sun Arena Wednesday for the Providence College Friars.

Asked to carry an increased offensive load, senior Rodney Bullock enjoyed his best game of the season. The wing forward was aggressive, hunted his shot and hit the boards hard on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds in the 70-59 loss to Houston. In short, he was everything the Friars needed and will continue to need in his final season.

Bullock and the Friars are back in action Friday when they entertain Sacred Heart of the Northeast Conference.
