Road only getting tougher for Friars

MILWAUKEE - Frustration boiled over for a moment after Providence failed to protect its home court against St. John's on Wednesday night. Now it's time to move on.

As both teams were leaving the court and heading to their locker rooms, coaches Ed Cooley and Chris Mullin got into a quick, but heated, verbal exchange. For PC's Cooley, it was simply a continuation of an exasperating night.

"It's not a big deal. It was a very emotional game, I'll leave it at that," Cooley said.

The loss was a critical one for the Friars (13-9, 3-6 Big East), who lost their second conference home game, and as Cooley says "home games are like gold; you have to protect them.
