Report: Bentil leaving D-league team to play overseas

Former PC Friars star and Boston Celtics draft pick Ben Bentil is reportedly leaving the NBA Development League team in Fort Wayne, Ind., to play overseas for 60 days.

According to WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Bentil, who plays for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, has agreed what what the station's website described as a lucrative 60-day contract.

Bentil was taken by the Celtics in the second round, only to be waived by Boston this summer. He was signed by Indiana Pacers and sent to Fort Wayne.

According to the report, the team expects Bentil to return to Fort Wayne after his contract is up.
