Providence tops Georgetown for 8th straight time 74-69

WASHINGTON -- Rodney Bullock had 19 points with five 3-pointers and Providence beat Georgetown for the eighth straight time, 74-69 on Saturday.

Alpha Diallo made a tough layup with 42 seconds left to extend Providence's lead to 72-69 but missed a chance at a 3-point play. After the Hoyas came up empty on their offensive end, Bullock was fouled at 12.6 and made both free throws to seal it.

Kyron Cartwright added 16 points, Diallo 14 and each player dished out nine assists for Providence (18-11, 9-7 Big East).

Cartwright made back-to-back 3-pointers to start a 10-0 run for a 51-46 lead midway through the second half.
