Providence to Host Arkansas in NIT

Slowing Gafford, who averages over 16 points and eight rebounds, will be key for Providence. The sophomore is certainly talented, as evidenced by his 29 point, 16 rebound effort against Alabama on March 9, and other big games, including 23/13 vs. Texas A&M, 26/8 vs. Missouri, 28/9 against Vanderbilt, 27/12 vs. Indiana, and two huge games against a very good LSU team (32/7 and 23/8).

Here is a recent feature on Gafford from NBA.com. Gafford, who shot 66% from the field this year, was regarded as a first round pick last spring before deciding to return to school.
