PROVIDENCE --- A second member of Providence College's sophomore class is leaving the program.
Per a post on his Instagram page late Wednesday night, Friars' guard Ricky Council will explore a transfer. The little-used North Carolina native played in just five games in the 2016-17 season, totaling 20 minutes and three points.
Council, a 6-foot-5 shooter, appeared in 14 games as a freshman and attempted all but one of his 19 shots from 3-point range. His five points in nine minutes of a 94-73 win over Brown stood as his career high.
