Providence Friars coach Ed Cooley said Tuesday night that sophomore forward Ben Bentil was headed for X-rays after injuring his ankle in the No. 11 Friars' 77-70 loss at DePaul.
Bentil was injured in the first half. He played just 14 minutes.
Cooley said the team would know more about Bentil's injury once it returned home.
Bentil, one of the nation's most improved players, is averaging 20.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season.
