PROVIDENCE --- Alpha Diallo was one of 20 players named to the 2020 Julius Erving Award watch list on Wednesday.
Providence College’s senior joins a host of standouts from across the country in the running to be named the top small forward in Division I college basketball. The winner will be announced at an April awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Diallo was voted to the preseason all-Big East first team after earning a postseason second team spot in 2018-19. He averaged 16.0 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Friars, who closed 18-16 overall and saw their string of five straight NCAA Tournament appearances snapped.
