Providence College and Boston College skate to 4-4 tie

PROVIDENCE – Third-ranked Providence College and seventh-ranked Boston College played to an intense, physical 4-4 tie before a sellout crowd at Schneider Arena on Saturday night.
PC, which wasted a 4-1 second period lead, had two apparent goals disallowed in the first period. On a late Friar power play, a shot by Nick Saracino with 4:30 to go hit the post and bounced out.
Trailing by a goal entering the third period, Boston College tied the game on a goal by Chris Calnan at 3:43. He took a pass from Austin Cangelosi at the red line, skated in and beat PC goalie Nick Ellis.
