PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men’s basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley announced the 2016-17 team awards on Saturday, April 8. The honors were given out at the team’s annual end-of-year banquet at the Omni Hotel in Providence, R.I. All-BIG EAST Second Team honorees junior Kyron Carwright (Compton, Calif.) and junior Rodney Bullock (Hampton, Va.) were named the Jimmy Walker Most Valuable Players. Other highlights included senior Casey Woodring (Darien, Conn.) earning the John Zannini Coaches Award, and freshmen Kalif Young (Vaughan, Ontario) and Maliek White being named the Coca-Cola Most Promising Prospects.
