Providence 6, St. Lawrence 3: Friars use balanced scoring to beat Saints

PROVIDENCE — Six Providence players had a goal as the Friars scored twice in each period en route to a 6-3 victory over 12th-ranked St. Lawrence on Saturday night at Schneider Arena.

Anthony Florentino led the Providence offense with a goal and two assists. Scott Conway, Shane Kavanagh, Jacob Bryson, Erik Foley and Josh Wilkins also scored for the Friars. Brian Pinho, Josh Monk and Jake Walman each added two assists.

No. 15 Providence (2-2-1) fell behind, 1-0, as St. Lawrence's Drew Smolcynski scored at 10:47 of the first period. The Friars would score the next four goals to build a 4-1 lead.
