RALEIGH, N.C. – After missing out on a slew of chances to take control in crunch time, the Providence Friars finally found some luck in the NCAA Tournament.
The Friars’ Rodney Bullock slipped free underneath the hoop and hit a layup off an inbounds play with two seconds to play to give the Friars a 70-69 win over the Southern California Trojans Thursday night at PNC Arena. The win is PC’s first March Madness win since 1997 and snaps a five-game losing streak in the tourney.
