PHILADELPHIA — A basketball relationship that started out rocky is quickly turning sweet.
Both Luwane Pipkins and Ed Cooley admitted on Saturday that the graduate transfer’s transition into the Providence basketball program wasn’t a smooth one. After some tough conversations, plenty of film study and a few awful losses, things gradually improved. Now, with the calendar flipping to March, Pipkins is playing like the guard Cooley envisioned.
“It’s just me building confidence in myself,” Pipkins said. “I’m just trying to have the confidence to know I’m still who I am and who I came here to be.
