BOSTON – It could have been worse, but it was bad enough. On a night when the third-place Bruins were one of the top five teams in the Atlantic Division with a game on the schedule, the B's couldn't come out of Thursday's game against the Rangers with a point. Largely due to the spectacular work of goalie Henrik Lundvist, the B's dropped a 2-1 decision that ended the longest home winning streak of the season at four games, and dropped them to 7-2-0 under interim head coach Bruce Cassidy. Pavel Buchnevich, recalled on an emergency basis from AHL Hartford earlier in the day because winger Michael Grabner was injured, broke a scoreless tie at 5:10 of the third period, and Oscar Lindberg made it 2-0 with 10:25 remaining.
