PROVIDENCE – Six games into this season of great expectations, the Providence College Friars have a lot of work to do.
The Friars have four wins over low-Division One teams and now two losses against the only strong teams they’ve faced. The latest loss was the toughest, a bitter 81-75 defeat to Pennsylvania Saturday before a stunned crowd at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
PC (4-2) now heads to Anaheim for next week’s Wooden Legacy with a whole lot to prove.
Penn, which just lost to Lafayette, improves to 3-2 on the season. Ryan Betley led the Quakers with 22 points, Jordan Dingle had 19 and senior center A.
