PC's Walman to undergo season-ending surgery

    If Providence College is to repeat as NCAA champions, they'll have to do it without star defenseman Jake Walman.
    The school announced on Wednesday that Walman will undergo season-ending surgery.
    The 20-year-old sophomore injured his shoulder for the first time against Merrimack on Dec. 5, returned on Jan. 8, then re-injured it on Feb. 19 against Notre Dame. He's been out of the lineup since then.
