NEW YORK — Kris Dunn is ready, and very willing, to hit the basketball lottery Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Dunn, the All-American point guard from Providence College, is expecting to hear his name be one of the first half-dozen called by NBA commissioner Adam Silver at the annual NBA Draft. Dunn could go as early as the third pick, which is currently owned by the Boston Celtics. He’s certain to be the highest drafted PC player since Marvin Barnes was the second overall pick in 1974.
