PC's goal on Saturday — slow down UMass

PROVIDENCE - After a few games of adapting to changing paces of play, the Providence Friars know just what they'll be in for when the Massachusetts Minutemen invade the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Saturday at noon.

UMass, which is off to a 6-2 start, has always played a bit wild and loose in coach Derek Kellogg's nine seasons. This year, however, he's employing that style with the most talented backcourt he's ever assembled.

"I'm trying to establish our style of play where for 40 minutes you keep coming," Kellogg said after a 72-48 win over Pacific on Thursday night.
