PROVIDENCE — Kyron Cartwright has handed out eight or more assists in each of his first three games, including a career-best 12 against Vermont a week ago. He compiled eight or more assists only three time all of last season.
But while Cartwright was an efficient passing machine against Vermont and then against Ohio State, games in which he recorded just three turnovers combined, Cartwright turned the ball over seven times on Saturday against Grambling State. Far too many sequences saw Cartwright try to throw the ball into the post only to have it hit a defender’s arm or roll over the end line.
