OMAHA, Neb. — This is exactly what Big East officials dreamed about when Creighton University was invited to join the conference three years ago.
The hope in 2013 was that the Bluejays would serve as a western outpost full of basketball fever. A different style of play, different locale to spread the brand and different challenge for the established East Coast-based schools would generate a high level of competition.
