PC-Villanova game draws big Fox TV audience

With Winter Storm Jonas keeping many residents on the East Coast housebound, the television audience for Sunday's Providence College-Villanova was a record breaker for Fox Sports.

The game averaged 905,000 viewers on the Fox broadcast network and is now Fox Sports’ most-watched Big East men’s basketball game, regardless of network, since the package launched during the 2013-14. The prior record of 721,000 was set last season and featured Villanova at Marquette. The only other men’s game on Fox that's attracted a bigger audience was a Duke at St. John’s game last season in coach Mike Krzyzewski 1,000th career win that attracted 2.
