PC stuns Villanova in o.t., 82-76

    PHILADELPHIA - It was a long time coming but the Providence Friars’ long, boring wait to play the fourth-ranked Villanova Wildcats paid off handsomely Sunday.
    The Friars snapped Villanova’s 22-game Big East winning streak with an exciting 82-76 overtime victory at Wells Fargo Center. PC arrived in town Thursday evening but waited around three long days to play a game that was delayed one day because of the blizzard that hit the East Coast.
    Ben Bentil hit four free throws in the final 14 seconds of overtime tgo secure the win for the Friars.
