PC skaters to face Minnesota Duluth in Worcester on Friday in NCAA tourney

PROVIDENCE – Providence College is the top seed in the NCAA Tournament’s Northeast Regional and will play the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on Friday afternoon at 4:30 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.
It’s the third straight year that the Friars have made the national tourney and the first time they’ve earned a No. 1 seed in a regional. PC, the defending national champions, enters the national tourney with a 27-6-4 record.
Four seed Minnesota Duluth lost, 3-1, to St. Cloud State University on Saturday night in the championship game of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
