PC-Seton Hall game remains as scheduled, will square off against Patriots in NFL playoffs

PROVIDENCE - Discussions about a possible switch to avoid a conflict with the NFL playoffs have failed to bear fruit for Providence College basketball fans.

PC's game on Jan. 16 at 4:30 p.m. against Seton Hall will be played as scheduled. At the same time in Foxboro the New England Patriots will kick off their divisional round playoff game.

PC athletic officials spoke with both the Big East Conference and TV partners about a possible shifting of game times and/or networks but a final decision was made to keep the game at its originally scheduled time.
