PROVIDENCE - Nate Watson helped make Ed Cooley's 47th birthday a happy one.
Watson, a 6-foot-8 forward from Arlington, Va., committed to Providence College on Saturday night at the end of a weekend campus visit. The commitment helped celebrate Cooley's birthday.
"Coach told me he'd never lost a recruit on his birthday," Watson said. "He jumped in his (swimming) pool when I gave him the word."
Watson was one of the Friars' top recruiting targets in the Class of 2017.
