PHILADELPHIA - In a normal Big East season, the Providence Friars would be playing with house money entering a matchup with Villanova Saturday at Wells Fargo Center.
That’s far from the case, however, as the Friars are instead playing with their backs to the wall as they continue to jockey for an NCAA Tournament berth. With a 9-6 record and three games left, PC would seem to be in great shape for the Big Dance. The program has won at least 10 Big East games 11 times and only once (2009) failed to keep playing in the NCAA Tournament.
