PROVIDENCE – In an interesting moment of candor after Saturday’s win over DePaul, Ed Cooley let fans know his team is often led by its smallest player.
While Kris Dunn is the reigning player of the year in the Big East and Ben Bentil leads the conference in scoring, neither is the type of player who can shake up his teammates at a moment of crisis. Kyron Cartwright does fit that role, according to Cooley.
“Kyron came in the huddle the other day (at Seton Hall) and was as demonstrative and as passionate as we’ve ever had,” Cooley said.
