WASHINGTON — The twists and turns of recruiting worked in the Friars’ favor in landing Ben Bentil two years ago.
In the summer before his senior season at St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, Del., Bentil was strongly considering Georgetown, Miami and Providence. In the midst of building a top-20 recruiting class, the Hoyas received a commitment from Paul White, a top-100 forward from Chicago.
