PC is focusing on the task at hand

PROVIDENCE - The temptation grows stronger by the day to peek ahead at Providence College's upcoming Big East schedule.

The Friars have handled the majority of their nonconference tests with a confidence that belies their general inexperience, and the latest comes Tuesday night against Maine and old friend Bob Walsh at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Providence goes for a sweep of its six-game homestand before hitting the road for a game against regional rival Boston College.

Then comes the real meat of the season, as back-to-back road tests against top-20 programs Xavier and Butler greet the Friars at the start of their league slate.
