PC hockey to play BC at Fenway Park in January

Hockey will return to Fenway Park this winter as Frozen Fenway will feature a pair of Hockey East doubleheaders.

Providence College will play Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 7 while Boston University and UMass will square off in the other contest.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, Maine will play UConn and New Hampshire will take on Northeastern.

This will be the Friars second game at Fenway in the last three years. PC played to a 1-1 tie with Merrimack in 2014.

“Hockey East and our schools could not be more excited to take the ice once again at Fenway Park,” said Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna.
