PROVIDENCE - The numbers and the opportunity are staring Providence College squarely in the face over the next week.
The Friars wrapped up semester exams on Friday and will resume their season Saturday against Wagner. Then comes another home game - the sixth straight - on Tuesday against Maine. The Friars' final nonconference game is set for next Friday at Boston College.
With an 8-2 record, the Friars have a chance at carrying an 11-2 mark into their Big East opener Dec. 28 at Xavier. In fact, PC will be favored to beat the Seahawks, Black Bears and Eagles.
