PROVIDENCE - Things got a little hairy down the stretch but the Providence Friars found a way to keep their impressive start of the season rolling Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
The Friars got off to a slow start, rallied in the second half and held on down the stretch to beat the Massachusetts Minutemen, 75-69. PC improves to 8-2 on the season.
PC led 29-28 at the half, thanks in large part to 14 UMass turnovers. The Friars put together a strong offensive stretch early in the second half and built a 58-42 lead with 9:26 to play.
