PROVIDENCE - A newly-designed court will greet the Providence Friars and their fans this season at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
The new design features the Friars’ primary logo at center court. In addition to the logo, the playing surface displays the name `Dave Gavitt Court’ near the sideline opposite the Friars’ team bench in honor of the Hall of Fame coach. The Big East logo is located in each key, the word `Providence’ is located on each baseline and the name of the arena, Dunkin’ Donuts Center, is located in front of the visitors’ bench.
The biggest difference is a lighter shaded three-point arc that differentiates it from other portions of the playing surface.
