PROVIDENCE – While plenty of head-scratching questions are still hovering over the program, the Providence Friars took care of business Saturday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
The Friars enjoyed one of their better offensive games in weeks and wore down DePaul in the second half for a badly-needed 87-66 victory. That the effort came with Kris Dunn still limited by what apparently is a lasting illness can only be described as disconcerting.
Ben Bentil continued his push for the Big East’s player of the year award by pouring in 28 points and grabbing eight boards.
