PC 87, Carleton 69: Friars regroup in second half

PROVIDENCE - After a sloppy, disjointed first half, the Providence Friars came out and used a spirited second half to run past Carelton University (Canada), 87-69, Saturday at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

PC trailed 41-30 after one half as the Ravens limited the home team to 26 percent shooting and won the rebound battle, 24-14.

The second half was another story, however. PC knuckled down on defense and scored the first 10 points. The Friars opened the half on a 36-11 run and kept rolling from there.

Junior college recruit Emmitt Holt led the Friars with 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
