NEW YORK — The streaking Providence Friars are headed to the postseason and what's looking like a very likely spot in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season.

The Friars won their sixth straight Big East game — the program's hottest streak since 2004 — by overwhelming St. John's for much of the day and then hanging on for a 86-75 win at Madison Square Garden. Picked ninth in the preseason coach's poll, PC finished 10-8 in the conference and 20-11 overall headed to next week's Big East Tournament.

With leading scorer Rodney Bullock saddled with foul woes, Isaiah Jackson came up huge by using his size advantage to ravage the Red Storm in the lane for 18 points.
