PC 77 Brown 72: Friars find a way to survive in overtime

PROVIDENCE – The Providence College Friars had to work overtime Wednesday to grab a game they absolutely couldn’t afford to lose.

The Friars battled from behind to beat the Brown Bears, 77-72, at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. PC rebounded from its loss at Rhode Island with an error-filled effort but found a way to improve to 7-2 overall.

Rodney Bullock led the Friars with 21 points. The Friars didn’t ice the game until Kyron Cartwright made two free throws with 13 seconds left. Cartwright missed the opening 30 minutes of the game with a sore ankle.

Brown (4-5) was led by Brandon Anderson and Desmond Cambridge, both of whom scored 19 points.
