PROVIDENCE - At last.
After three losses and plenty of sweaty palms, the Providence Friars found a way to win a Big East battle Saturday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
PC watched a 26-point lead melt to one with 10 seconds to go but hung on for a 75-72 win over Georgetown. Ben Bentil made two free throws with 8 seconds left to secure the badly-needed victory.
The Friars are now 19-7 overall and 7-6 in the Big East. Rodney Bullock led PC with 23 points.
