WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Providence Friars grabbed a gut-check win Saturday afternoon at Capital One Arena.
In a game they seemingly had to grab to stay in the NCAA Tournament hunt, the Friars put together a strong second half and came from behind to beat Georgetown, 74-69. The Friars improve to 18-11 overall and an important 9-7 in the Big East.
Kyron Cartwright stepped up big with 16 points and 9 assists. Alpha Diallo was even better as he came up with 14 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds.
