PROVIDENCE – How did that happen?

Providence Friars fans leaving the Dunkin' Donuts Center Saturday afternoon had to be asking themselves that question after the home team somehow rallied to beat Marquette, 73-69.

The Friars trailed 64-52 with 7:20 to play and looked dead. Not only were the Golden Eagles playing much better, but the Friars were slipping and sliding on what was a moist floor. The day's warm temperatures combined with the ice under the floor to make for treacherous conditions.

But the Friars (18-11, 8-8) finally blocked out those issues and rallied.
