PROVIDENCE - Now that’s one way to break a home losing streak.
In a classic Big East battle, the Providence Friars closed the game on a 11-4 run to edge past the Butler Bulldogs, 71-68. The Friars’ winning margin was a banked 3-point shot by Kris Dunn with 1:11 left. PC lost the ball late and Butler had two chances to tie but Kelan Martin and Kellen Dunham both missed threes in the final five seconds.
PC snapped a two-game home losing streak with the win to improve to 16-3 and 4-2 in the Big East.
