PROVIDENCE – At last.
After a Big East season filled with close calls and painful near-misses, the Providence Friars finally registered an upset of a nationally ranked foe Saturday at a sold out Dunkin' Donuts Center.
PC rallied in the second half and upset No. 22 Butler, 71-65. The win moves the Friars to 15-11 overall and 5-8 in a very jumbled middle of the Big East.
Freshman Alpha Diallo scored all 15 of his points in the second half to lead a Friar offense that struggled badly in the opening 35 minutes.
